KB-7101 Bassoon Pads Kangaroo Leather

The Kangaroo pads are made with our top selection kangaroo leather imported from Australia and tanned in Italy. This is the strongest leather available. Most animals have two distinct layers in the cross-section of the skin, the grain and the corium. The majority of the strength comes from the corium where the fiber bundles are much denser. However, in sheep and bovine leather, a large amount of the corium is shaved off to gain a very lightweight thickness, resulting in dramatically reduced strength characteristics. On the other hand, kangaroo leather has very thin grain layer and its thickness can easily be reduced without detriment to the strength of the final leather, naturally waterproof, high breathability, moisture management, abrasion resistance and nonstick.
