Prestini offers a complete line of prestige accessories for oboe, english horn, and bassoon. All our accessories were originally designed and tested by Giuseppe Prestini, oboe professor at the Conservatories of Florence and Venice in Italy and first oboe chair with Toscanini and also by his son Silvano Prestini, professor of oboe at the Conservatories of Bolzano and Verona and first oboe at the Pomeriggi Musicali in Milano, at La Scala in Milano, and at the Arena of Verona with Maria Meneghini Callas. All accessories are professional quality, made with premium italian steel and brass, and all handles are handmade and designed by native Arizonans specializing in ironwood working. Ironwood is a rare and beautiful, richly textured wood used by the Navajo, Hopi, and Seri peoples in the Southwestern United States and Mexico for making their fine jewelry. Prestini has been making double reed accessories since 1890 and offers a complete line of fine knives, oboe staples, oboe and bassoon reed making tools and accessories, as well as tools and accessories for english horn and contra bassoon.
